What should I expect if this is my first lever belt?

You may notice that the belt is uncomfortable for the first few sessions which is totally normal. Lever belts provide a very sturdy level of support which can take a bit of getting used to. As you put your TGL belt through more and more workouts you will find the belt will become more and more comfortable - like a fine wine, give it time ;)

How long will my order take to arrive?

The Groovy Lifter is a tiny company which means we don't have massive resources to draw on. What does that mean for you? Well it means two things.Firstly, we make each belt to order and production time is between 20-25 days from the date of your purchase. Additionally, shipping is between 10-15 days. I know it's a while but, I can assure you it's worth it! This brings me to my second point, if you're reading this you could be one of the first few lifters in the world to rock a TGL belt - now wouldn't that be something to brag about to your gym bros about...

How should I take care of my belt?

TGL Belts are super robust and will hold up through the toughest workouts. However, they don't like the heat so much. For the best belt health it's best to keep it out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time (i.e. store it in a cool spot when it's not being used).

What is the belt made of?

TGL Belts are designed to perform when you need it most and are constructed in the following way (going from the outer most layer in):PU leather (design print).Outer cowhide layer (thin).Middle cowhide layer (medium).Inner cowhide layer (thick).Suede liner. These layers are pressed to create a total depth of 13mm and a belt height of 10cm. Why different levels of thickness? Due to the nature of the lift, you're going to be exerting the most pressure on the closest point of contact i.e. the inner layers. This is where you need the most support and why we construct the belt the way we do.

How do I set up the lever?

The lever is made up of two parts:The lever system.A binding plate.TGL Belts are a single hole row design and the lever comes with two bolts. In order to construct your belt, these bolts need to be inserted into the belt holes at the appropriate spot and the binding plate then needs to be screwed into place. It is important to note when setting up your belt that you don't set it to be overly tight. This means you should be able to brace your core into the belt whilst maintaining your ability to comfortably breathe.
